    Hurry to apply for deferral

The Belastingdienst have called on entrepreneurs who are unable to pay their taxes on time due to the corona crisis and who have not yet applied for a deferral, to do so as soon as possible. They can do so up to September 30, 2021 inclusive.
If you apply for a special tax deferral now, it will be granted until October 1, 2021. If you already applied for a special tax deferral and it expires before October 1, 2021, you do not need to apply for an extension. It will automatically continue until October 1, 2021 for all taxes subject to deferral. The special tax deferral already granted to you is subject to the following:

    • Up to September 30, 2021 inclusive, you do not have to pay the taxes for which the special deferral has been granted.
    • You will have to fulfil all new payment obligations as of October 1, 2021.
    • As of October 1, 2022, you can use a payment scheme for the accumulated tax debt (60 months).
